Weekly vlog: Brunch in Portland, vintage shopping, garden centers and sharing my big summer of adventure plans! 🥳☀️🚲✨
This week was SO fun. I’m taking you with me while I get a much needed haircut for the first time in two years. Yikes, I wish I was kidding! My hair was so long it was getting tangled on absolutely everything. It was beautiful, but also the worst.
In this vlog you’ll also see that my friend Christina and I grabbed brunch at Jam on Hawthorne, which is honestly one of my favorite Portland brunch spots! Their vegan gravy is to die for — seriously, don’t knock it til you try it. You wouldn’t ever know it’s vegan and it’s so good you’ll want to eat it with a spoon. I’m also a huge fan of their jam. Which I feel like if you’re gonna to put Jam in your name, your jam has gotta be really good. And it truly is! They do have gluten free options but I really wanted the gluten versions of everything (mostly, there’s no gluten gravy and that’s no good).
After our breakfast at Jam on Hawthorne, we drove over to Memory Den which was only about a ten minute drive away. Memory Den is this amazing two story vintage antique mall in Portland that we’ve both been wanting to visit for a while. They have a few spots that they even rent out for photoshoots, I mean, how cool is that!? It’s my dream to one day have a photoshoot here with my painted vinyl records. If you visit here you HAVE to check out the bathroom. It really felt like a fever dream — no exaggeration — does anyone else have dreams of weird bathrooms when really you just need to get up and pee in the middle of the night? Anyways, this bathroom is weird. Not the weirdest Portland bathroom I’ve ever seen (looking at you, Rimsky-Korsakoffee House, but also I feel like all of PDX in general aims for weird bathroom experiences).
Over the weekend I decided my plants needed a new lease on life — aka, they were all starting to die on me and I have no other reason why except maybe they wanted bigger pots and fresh soil. I explored Cornell Farm which is a massive space with tons to look at. They even have a cafe, which I always tell myself I’m going to try, but they’re always SO BUSY that I never do.
Finally, I share my big Summer of Adventure plans. I am so beyond thrilled and nervous to finally be able to talk about this. I’ve been plotting everything in the background and now that it’s getting closer it’s feeling super surreal! One thing is for certain, I can’t wait to share my adventures with you! 🍧💫

Here’s the tarp for indoor planting I mention in the vlog. It’s the best best best best best. It seriously makes me want to plant more often — oh and it’s so cheap and at the time of posting this, there’s even a coupon!: https://amzn.to/3W1MVd6
